Write 254.90 in word form.
two hundred fifty four and ninety hundredths

Write 254.90 in expanded form.
(2x100)+(10x5)+(1x4)+(9x0.1)+(0x0.1)

254.90 is standard form


How you Represent a Decimals


You can represent a decimal three ways: expanded form, word form and standard.
Standard form is just a decimal in its regular form.
A decimal in word form is the number expressed in words.
A decimal in expanded form is the number written as the sum of its whole number and decimal place values.
